This morning, August 21, 2012, the Chamber had the opportunity
to sit down with City Council Member Bill Dudley. Dudley discussed what he thought
some of the priorities of the city are:
- Developing a comprehensive Downtown Waterfront Master Plan
- Economic Development and best practices on recruiting and maintaining the best companies to St. Pete
- St. Petersburg's high quality of life
- The budget and how the city might cover the deficit
You can tell that Dudley loves this city and wants to ensure
its vitality. The Chamber also expressed our gratitude for voting in favor of
allowing Digital Billboards on August 16th and his vote against putting
the pier petition language on the ballot in November.
This Public Policy Chat was hosted by C1 Bank. If you have not had an opportunity to
see their office on Beach Drive in downtown, it is beautiful and unique! The
Chamber is grateful to C1 Bank for Sponsoring the Chamber's Growing Business
Council, moving their new HQ building to Downtown St. Pete, and continuing to
engage in our community.
